Cutting Extremely Long Hair

I have long hair, about half-way down my back. My hair can do very little and basically sits straight or goes in a pony tail. I have had this style since I was in high school (so almost ten years now). I want to cut it to the style where the front is longer than the back and it is just slightly longer than my chin. I'm afraid I might regret it. If you've had long hair and cut it pretty short, how did you feel about it later?

I had really long hair and I wanted a change. So I cut it. I honestly don't like the way it looks short so I am in the process of growing it out. I have really wierd thick, wavy, and poofy hair(though it was more maageable when it was long) so I didn't like how it looks short...but if I hadn't cut it I never would have known that I don't like it short. So I'm glad I tried it once, but I prefer it longer. It sounds like your hair is very straight and manageable, so I think this cut would work good on you...but you never know until you try it!

I want 2 grow my hair out because: 1. a com so Girl! quiz said it matched my personality and 2. i want to look like a girl in a music video (i idolize than sometimes) plus when i get back outside this spring+summer, my hair will naturally bleach out. i really want Different Cuts for Long Hair, flowing hair- curls or straight or wavy, whatever looks hot...my face shape is heart, but more subtle, kinda roundish. i want to highlight my eyes or cheekbones. sorry, i don't have a pic.

OK well my haairs shoulder length right now, and i might try growing it longer. but i dont wanna get the same long layers and side bangs as all the stupid preppy bitches. what are some unique Different Cuts for Long Hair? something maybe a little edgy, and different and stuff! can you post pix? thanks! Okay i have long hair and its getting dry again, its like to my shoulder blades and a while ago i cut it all the way up to my shoulders and my hair looked really healthy again! but then now thats its grown back out its looking really fried ESPECIALLY the ends! Should i just cut my hair again? it actually was my best hair year, and it looked really cute. Also if you wanna suggest a certain short cute style definitely can because idk how i would style it. Im a daredevil when it comes to my hair, sometimes i cut it my self so any suggestions would be good! Thanks and happy new yearrr!!!
